Cyrtomium falcatum ‘Rochfordianum’, Rochford’s holly fern, is an elegant specimen with brightly polished rich green holly like foliage. This sheen makes it popular not only in the garden but as a sparkly addition to flower arrangements. Like most cyrtomiums it adjusts well to very deep shade where other plants languish. Deep shade is not a requirement, however and the glossy evergreen two foot arching fronds offer a welcome brightness in lightly shaded woodlands or mixed borders. This cultivar adapts well with protection in Zone 6 and with ease in Zones 7.
