Description
This large tree fern is native to Tasmania, which is a large island south of the Australian continent that is much colder than the southern coast of Australia. While it is listed as a tropical fern, it is commonly planted along the California coastal areas, along the Gulf Coast and lower Atlantic coast where its foliage may freeze back, only to resprout in the spring. It can survive lower temperatures like the Australian Tree Fern.
Produced seasonally.
