Adiantum hispidulum, the rosy maidenhair, presents enthusiasts with vibrant rosy red new fronds a welcome and cheerful sight indoors or out. The hand shaped fronds usually 12 to 18 inches tall imitate in diminutive form those of our native five finger maidenhair ferns. Its native range, however, is quite wide spreading from New Zealand.
